Nate Estes works closely with his board of diretors to advance the impact of the organizations reach in helping families dealing with mitral valve disease and repair. Nate designed and maintains the website in all areas of social media as a resource to guide families through this disease.
Nate closely works with his moderators on the Mighty Hearts Project Facebook MVD Community Group. Nate often attends holistic pet health conferences and veterinary medicine conferences to provide our members with the very best knowledge and avenues in holistic and nutritional care while managing this disease.
Nate’s precious daughter, Zoey Marie Estes, endured two mitral valve repair surgeries. At the tender age of five years old, Zoey’s journey began in 2016, where her heart was successfully repaired.
Sadly in 2019 Zoey’s disease was very progressive since she developed the disease at an early age and prolapsed. Zoey had her second repair surgery at the Jasmine clinic in Japan and even though was given a 50/50 success rate survived the procedure and after two weeks was discharged from the Jasmine clinic.
Zoey was stable for two years and three months. Unfortunately she passed away in May of 2021 at the age of 10. We were very lucky to have the beautiful gift of time with her. Zoey has taught Nate unconditional love and how to always stay in the fight all the way to the end. He will never forget the lessons his brave daughter taught him and with his team, continues this fight to honor her legacy.
